With England moving into Stage Four of the Governments Roadmap for lifting lockdown from 19th July, we have updated our guidance for visiting the museum.
While the legal requirement for the wearing of face coverings and social distancing are no longer present, We would still encourage visitors to continue with these precautions where possible in enclosed spaces and our smaller display rooms.
Our hand sanitiser stations remain in place across the whole site and can be found at entrances to buildings, high traffic areas and key touch points.
While the legal restrictions have gone, COVID-19 certainly has not gone. For the safety of you, our visitors, our volunteers and our staff, If you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been told to isolate by the NHS Track and Trace system, please do not enter the museum.
Also included under the Stage Four changes is the lifting of the requirement to collect test and trace data. We encourage our visitors to still 'Check in' using the NHS COVID-19 app, or if you would prefer, your details can still be recorded at entry. Any information provided will only be used for the purposes of Test and Trace, and destroyed after 21 days.
We hope that by maintaining these measures, we can ensure a safe end enjoyable visit for all to the museum.
