When are you open?The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 - 17:00 during British Summer Time and 10:00 - 16:00 through the winter, with last admission one hour before closing time. During local school holidays, the museum is open 7 days a week and is also open on bank holidays. The South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

How much does it cost to visit?Current admission prices for the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum can be found below: Adults: £7.50 Children/Under 16's: £4.00 Concessions (Over 60's): £6.50 Family (2A + 3C): £18.00 Under 5's: Free The museum participates in the Gift Aid scheme. If you are a UK taxpayer then we can claim back 25% of your entry fee from the government. All we need is a 10% donation on top of your normal entry fee eg. £8.25 for adult entry instead of £7.50.

Can I book online?No. There is no pre-booking or ticketing system to visit the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum. Admission to the museum is through payment on entry. Some special events may require advance tickets. If this is the case, it will be clearly communicated in advance.

Can I bring my dog?Yes! Well-behaved dogs are allowed within the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum, and must be kept on a lead at all times.

Do you have parking?Yes, we have a large on-site car park, which is free for visitors to use for the duration of their visit. We also have disabled parking close to the museum entrance. On some of our event days, we may use car parking marshals in order to maximise the number of available spaces. Please follow their instructions to ensure that all visitors can park safely.

Is the museum wheelchair/scooter friendly?We are pleased to say that 95% of the museum is accessible to users of wheelchairs and mobility scooters. There are two small display areas that unfortunately are not accessible - one inside the main hangar up a flight of stairs, and our Royal Observer Display which is inside an original V-Force crews sleeping bunks. All public display buildings are ramped for entry and exit, and disabled facilities are available within building 19.

Do you have a Café?The museum shop sells a range of hot and cold drinks, crisps, chocolates and pre-packaged snacks. Visitors are more than welcome to bring their own food to enjoy and make use of our indoor or outdoor seating areas. If you are looking for something more substantial, there are many premises in the immediate vicinity of the museum providing food within the 'Herten Triangle' development.

Can I just visit the museum shop?You can! The museum shop is open throughout the museum's opening hours and can be browsed by anyone, not just visitors to the museum. We have a huge range of model kits and die-casts from all of the leading manufacturers including Airfix, Italeri, Revell, Tamiya, Corgi, Aviation72, Hobbymaster and more! We also stock all of your plastic modelling needs including paints, glues and accessories.
